Recall Index is an independent information service. It is not a government website, emergency service, medical provider, manufacturer, or retailer. Official agencies and recalling organizations remain authoritative.
1. Agreement to these terms
These terms govern your use of Recall Index and therecallguy.com, operated by de Lacey Ventures LLC. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Informational purpose only
The service collects and normalizes public recall information to make product checking easier. It does not provide medical, legal, engineering, or other professional advice. For urgent danger, illness, injury, or poisoning, contact emergency services or an appropriate qualified professional.
3. Confirm every result
Recall information can be delayed, incomplete, changed, archived, or limited to specific lots, models, dates, or locations. A missing search result does not mean a product is safe or unaffected. Before using, consuming, returning, repairing, or discarding a product, compare all identifiers and follow the current official agency or recalling-organization notice.
4. Alert preferences
Phase 1 stores alert preferences but does not send alert email. Submitting a preference does not create a monitoring, warning, or emergency-response service, and you remain responsible for checking official sources.
5. Acceptable use
You may use the service for lawful personal, research, and public-safety purposes. You may not interfere with the service, bypass security controls, submit malicious content, misrepresent service data as an official government determination, or use the service in a way that violates law or another person’s rights.
6. Sources, links, and intellectual property
Government records, agency names, product images, trademarks, and third-party materials remain subject to their respective rights and source terms. External links are provided for verification and convenience. de Lacey Ventures LLC does not control and is not responsible for external sites.
7. Service availability and disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of completeness, accuracy, timeliness, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We may correct, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, de Lacey Ventures LLC and its members, personnel, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from reliance on the service, missed or delayed notices, external sources, or inability to use the service. Rights that cannot lawfully be limited remain unaffected.
9. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Texas, United States, to the extent permitted by law. We may update them as the service changes. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply from the effective date shown above.
